Banana stems are known to hold water for long period of time that's why most people have went to an extent of utilizing this stem by planting short rooted stems at this stem
This done by placing some small holes at the stem using knife or machete and adding a little soil .
This type of planting allows the plant to grow even during the dry season without irrigation and helps minimize resource and space
Farming solutions to grow food for communities/family you always don't need soil or huge land in order to grow you can sustain your self with things you already have this is best for short rooted plants e.g kale's,spinach e.t.c
Banana skins can also be used as tubers in tree nursery
